There have been some threads calling it a Bad board so:
What *exactly* are the errors on the Rev2b A1200's, I've been running
one for, errr, more years than I care to remember with no major
problems.
Current setup, '040 32Meg still in the original case and still running
OS 3.0.

The problem is, a lot of people don't want to register MUI, because they
don't like it. Unfortunately, a lot of almost essential programs do use
it, and to get the best you need to register MUI as well; it's not
exactly fair on the user that they should have to pay extra because of
choices a software author has made. Unfortunately, though, that's just
how it is :/

Yep, got it, it's semi-transparent, and both my drives read it OK
(Yamaha 2260 CDRW (SCSI), and a Toshiba 16x (IDE) )

Hi Simon,

I've got Wb3.5, WW7 and use TP6, it throws a wobbly now and again but
on the whole it seems to be OK. The 80000004 is a dead end instruction
and as you probably know the Amiga will reboot.  For a more (slightly)
indepth reason (if it will mean anything to you, it dos'nt to me) try
GURU 3.02.


My turn now.

Does anyone know why, when I print from V3, or MicroDotII on my Epson
Stylus Photo EX (which is a wide carriage printer) insists on
printing over the width of A4 even though I have the preferences set
to A4.

Any help as always is greatly appreciated.

Originally Classact was sort of opposite to this wasn't it? Make the
developers pay if they use the system in their programs and it was free
to users. Only thing I can see wrong with this is the lower number of
registrations, although developers would be charged more.

Our CD is see through right to the edge (against a bright light
source) where it isnt green. I works on both the A1200 and the A1500

to increase my conn speeds? Would it have anything to do with the fact that

44k is what I sometimes get, but thats not that often, and I normally
connect at a pathetic 41,333, with the occassional 42,666 and 40k. All I'm
trying to do is see if theres somthing I can do to increase those numbers.

Okay; I have bought an A4000 floppy drive; a high density type.  Which
is
slightly taller, ie: the standard a4000 type.

I have an A1200T (1B motherboard).  The disk drive only half works in
that
it only recognises DD disks, HD disks are NOT recognised! :/  My long
floppy
cable is buggred so i managed to wire it up with the short A1200 lead.
It
is wired in as Df0: with pin one stripe going to pin one on floppy
drive.

Sometimes when booting i get:

please insert drive df0:

or similar.  Someone p[ease help; i am frankly quite pissed off! :)
Do i
need an A4000 floppy cable???

That's the whole point. You may not *want* it, but you *need* to use it for
certain software. If it was an *option* with that software, rather than a
requirement, then you could decide whether you *wanted* it or not.

But OS3.5 upgrades and improves the whole system, rather than one part of
it. Is MUI a *vital* component of the software that uses it? Last I checked,
the OS came with a GUI built in. MUI just adds to the overall expense.

Hum, that could work although I thought accelerators tend to `disable` the
onboard processor, unless the G4 doesn`t in this case.

Thats news to me.  Depends which part of the OS was ported - for AmigaOS to
run at full speed we need - exec, graphics, intuition, dos, gadtools at
least to
get the best.

The easiest way is to get an accelerator such as the BlizzardPPC, CyberStorm
or  Typhoon which has SCSI built in. If you have a PCMCIA then get the
Squirrel SCSI. Personally, it`ll be a lot cheaper to go down the IDE/Atapi
route as its more widely available and peripherals are cheaper too.

Buy Wasted Dreams when you get chance it is one of the best games that I

Did you check with the supplier that they were compatible or didn`t they
know either. Expanding an A1200 beyond its original design will always
be full of problems.

Is this the same archive as Phase 5s? The libraries need to go into
LIBS: The rest can go wherever you like. Some may need to run from
WBStartup e.g. CyberPatcher. Also, check the 060 readme as they may
need renaming before copying them to libs:.

Did you ask for software or check that it came with any? Anyway there are

I got OS3.5 last week. It installed no problem and worked great, mostly.
Except, I keep getting out of memory errors. I've got 16Mb fast, in my
A1200.
My screenmode is 640x512 DBLPAL in 16 colours, and I usually have about
1.6Mb
chip free on boot. The problems usually occur with the prefs progs, in
particular, palette and pointer prefs, which refuse to load, giving no
error
message, if I've been using the machine for a while. Has anyone else
experienced this?
